Hi.

<It’s all down to Faith, Faith is the key and faith is all it really is.

Taking the words written in the Book as Holy and God inspired takes faith. Believing in what it says or reports and then trying to understand it all is Faith. Trying to live by it takes a lot of faith.

I do not have faith, my faith is Athiestic, my faith does not believe in God.>

It is true that it all comes down to faith. We are all given a measure of faith. You will see this faith in action when you seek for the signs that follow them that believe which can be found in many churches that speak in the utterance spoken of in the Bible. You may not believe in God but when you see the supernatural signs you will see what you lack in your beliefs.

Just going to any church will not increase our faith. As Jesus taught: unless we see the signs and wonders we will not believe.

In His Love

Dear PJ,

It is called Faith, faith in God not misleading us, and faith that we are using our God-given intelect to investigate, and have faith in what we learn.

At least that is the best definition/answer I can give.

For example, I do not have faith in what the pope says because of the ulterior motives I know he has.

I don’t have faith in the latest scientific findings of what is safe to use or eat as I know the next scientific news blurb will say just the oposite.

I don’t have faith in government as there has been so much corruption reported in the media how can I trust anyone in Wash.DC.

But I can trust in the Baha’i Teachings because my mind and heart say this is truth, thus I have faith in the Baha’i Faith.

I don’t think the idea of protection has to do with hatred of the Faith, as much as protecting the integrity of the Faith. Much of the time, the Faith gets involved in the personal lives of members when the external look of the Faith is threatened. Will this make the Faith look like one where morality isn’t important? Will this make the Faith look like it is secretly up to no good? In Iran, the talk is that Baha’is are really zionists and freemasons, and therefore not a religion. The Guardian sought to keep Baha’is free from such entanglements, and from taking the reputation of the Faith with them.

I used to think it quite silly to worry about the reputation of the religion. But on the other hand - in a world where so many have never heard of the Faith - we are sometimes all people know of the Faith - what they learn from us, is what they report to others.
